Fortnite Battle Royale’s Chapter 5 introduced Underground as its first season, bringing in a lot of new maps and gameplay changes, along with iconic skins like Peter Griffin and Solid Snake. Going forward, it looks like a bunch of characters from God of War and the Greek mythos will make their way into the popular game, and Kratos is going to be part of the narrative.
It’s been more than a thousand days since Kratos last appeared in the game’s item shop, but according to the leaks, players will soon get the chance to see him again in the next season. That’s not all; there’s another big franchise that might end up as a collaboration midway through the season.
Characters From God of War and a Bunch of Other Legends From Greek Mythology Are on Their Way
While Epic Games has been a little secretive about the upcoming season, the studio has already started teasing it with pictures of certain iconic characters from Greek mythology. One of them is Zeus, which makes things interesting if you’ve been a fan of God of War.
As fitting as the theme may seem, players can likely expect Kratos to finally return to the item shop. However, this time, Atreus will likely make his way to the battle royale too. Maybe we’ll get the Talon Bow as a pickaxe? Or even a usable weapon in the game? We’ll have to wait and watch out for this one.
According to popular Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR on X, there’s also a chance for the Persona games to build up a collaboration during the next season. There have also been rumors of a One Piece collab, as well as the potential return of a fan-favorite character, Midas.
With the Addition of Atreus and the Characters of Persona, What Can We Expect From the New Season?
Throughout the games, Kratos and Atreus help each other through various puzzles and landscapes across the Nine Realms. Keeping the tradition of Fortnite seasons in mind, there’s a big chance that players will get to experience new mechanics directly from these games.
This includes some iconic weapons and spells that the two characters are familiar with. Furthermore, there is also the possibility of seeing Persona characters use their abilities in the game. Epic has a reputation for implementing new mechanics every season, and the next one seems no different.
While it’s not clear how Kratos or Atreus will play a role in the game’s upcoming storyline, it would be exciting to see other legendary characters from the Greek mythos interact with them at some point. Or, rather, the players, regardless of which skin they equip.
