Christopher Judge Has Nothing Against Dave Bautista

Christopher Judge’s initial reaction displayed a mildly amused and slightly perplexed tone, yet he didn’t stop at just one comment. Approximately ten minutes later, he followed up with another message, saying, “Don’t get me wrong, I think Dave Bautista is great, but…

This isn’t the first instance where Judge has expressed his interest in portraying Kratos, nor is it the first time he has done so in response to a former wrestler being suggested for the role. Towards the end of last year, when an unusual fan-casting emerged proposing Triple H as Kratos, Judge promptly surfaced to reaffirm his unmistakable eagerness to embody the God of War.

As for Dave Bautista, he has already made his aspiration for a dream video game role evident. In a previous instance back in November, he showcased himself fully adorned in Gears of War armor, seemingly making a bid to portray Marcus Fenix in Netflix’s upcoming Gears of War movie.

While one could argue that he remains an intriguing choice for Kratos, especially considering his expressed desire to explore a broader range of nuanced characters, Bautista acknowledges the challenges his imposing 6’4″, 290-pound physique presents when it comes to finding such roles. The recent portrayals of Kratos could potentially open doors for those opportunities, but it seems that at least one individual will stand in his path.

In a candid interview with djvlad, Carson delved into the details of his departure from the role of Kratos in the 2018 game. According to Carson, the director of the game, Cory Barlog, expressed a desire for a single individual to perform the voiceover and motion capture. While Carson’s vocal abilities were highly regarded, his physical stature presented a challenge, as his height did not align with the envisioned body type for Kratos.
