Tomb Raider fans will now have a huge reason to get into the Call of Duty series because the iconic heroine, Lara Croft, is making her way to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone in a surprise crossover. This is a great way for developer, Infinity Ward, to keep the game breathing just in time for the anticipated sequel, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, to be launched in a couple of months. The interesting crossover between Call of Duty and Tomb Raider was officially confirmed by publisher Activision, with a post on Twitter/X that featured an image teasing the introduction of the renowned character in her very own operator bundle for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone.

The official Call of Duty channel on Twitter/X teased the inclusion of Lara Croft in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone with an image of the character standing inside a cave, as she looks out at an intense battlefield and gets ready to join it. One can only see the back view silhouette of the iconic protagonist from Tomb Raider, but fans could instantly tell it was her because of her familiar outfit, legendary braid, and classic dual pistols. There are still no details regarding when Croft’s operator bundle will become available for players, but we can assume it has the potential to be a significant part of the upcoming Season 5 midseason update.

The aforementioned post on Twitter/X hypes up the crossover event by saying:

Lara Croft is not the first major guest to join Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone, and she joins a stacked guest list. Recently, Season 4 of the games added superheroes from the universally acclaimed Amazon Prime television series, The Boys. After that, the fifth season heavily incorporated hip-hop into the games, with artists Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage, and Snoop Dogg, officially joining the franchise’s roster.

As mentioned before, there is still no official release date for the Lara Croft Operator Bundle in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone, but the midseason update probably refers to the upcoming patch called “Season 5 Reloaded.” This update is expected to include a wide variety of fresh new content, including new weapons such as the M13C, .300 Carrack, and FR Avancer, along with more features like new game modes. Fans will be able to purchase the upcoming operator pack directly from the stores for Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 in the near future.

The Lara Croft Operator bundle for the Call of Duty games is expected to cost around $19.99, which is basically equivalent to 2,400 CoD points. We are assuming this to be the case considering how the previous bundles featuring celebrities like Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj were priced. For now, the only aspect that we know about the upcoming operator pack is that it will include the iconic Tomb Raider protagonist, but usually, these huge bundles consist of additional sticks, weapon blueprints, calling cards, a loading screen, a finishing move, charms, and plenty of fresh new in-game cosmetics to customize characters with.
