Leonardo DiCaprio is a phenomenal actor who continues to win over his countless followers with each new performance. Even though he gained global recognition for his roles in movies like Titanic, Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, and others, his co-stars adore him because of his commitment to giving each of his characters his all.

For instance, his splendid performance in one of the most endearing and initially most unlikely on-screen pairings in recent film history was featured in The Wolf of Wall Street. In a masterful Martin Scorsese film that was released in 2013, Jonah Hill portrayed Donnie Azoff, a friend and business partner of DiCaprio’s character (Jordan Belfort), the criminal stockbroker.

It was said that The Revenant actor was rough with his co-stars while filming The Wolf of Wall Street.

And, because he was the more experienced actor, his fellow actors could not even defend themselves. However, Hill responded to him in a very funny way by taking advantage of the Titanic actors’ serious approach to his roles.

Hill was supposed to eat the last piece of sushi, but when the first scene was filmed, his character was asked, “Do you want the last piece…?” but he declined. So, the Inception star had to eat the last piece of yellowtail sushi. As the Superbad actor recalled:

“There was a scene, which is my favourite scene between us – it’s my favourite scene I’ve ever shot in a movie, actually. And in the sushi scene, the line was written as…”

Leonardo DiCaprio, as we all know, does everything to perfection, and Hill took advantage of the fact that the actor would reshoot the entire scene if something went wrong or was missed.

Thus, he made the Romeo + Juliet actor eat that sushi repeatedly. At least 100 takes were made of the scene before DiCaprio started throwing up into the trash.

The 39-year-old American actor, comedian, and producer further stated:

“And the first take, he [Leonardo DiCaprio] goes, ‘Take that last piece of yellowtail,’ and I go, ‘It’s all yours.’ And then so he had to eat it. So he had to match that take for the rest of the night. By the end of the night, he was on the floor throwing up into a waste bin.”

According to Hill, Martin Scorsese and others were laughing it off and falling out of their chairs, while DiCaprio was busy throwing up in the trash.

“Everyone was like, ‘Leo, are you OK? Are you Ok?’ And the only two people on the floor laughing hysterically were myself and Martin Scorsese. It was one of the better moments of the whole shoot. Use your brain; it’s better than your muscles.”
