The Often-Discussed Fight Between Luffy and Reed Richards Might Finally Become a Reality

Known for collaborating with popular IPs frequently, rumors have emerged claiming that Fortnite might be adding One Piece and Fantastic Four characters to its rosters. The rumor comes after Disney announced that it is set to invest a whopping $1.5B in an equity stake in Fortnite maker Epic Games, stating that “all-new games and entertainment universe”. And considering Disney previously acquired the Fantastic Four IP after its acquisition of 20th Century Fox, it’s not unlikely to assume more Marvel and other IPs will find their way to the popular game.

Furthermore, keeping in mind that the rumors come from @Shpeshal_Nick & @xboxera, who previously leaked the TMNT, Doom, and Avatar collabs, its possibility doesn’t seem too far-fetched. These rumors have reasonably had fans excited as they might finally get to witness Luffy taking on Reed Richards.

SAG AFTRA Listing and Matt Shakman Seemingly Confirms Pedro Pascal’s MCU Involvement

In the latter half of 2023, reports emerged claiming that Pedro Pascal was in the run to helm the part of Reed Richards in MCU’s iteration of Fantastic Four. And with SAG-AFTRA’s official website listing him as Reed Richards and director Matt Shakman sharing a post of Pascal as Mr. Fantastic before deleting his IG, fans are assured Pascal is headlining Fantastic Four. However, the GOT Star has kept his leaps sealed among all speculations, and on asked about his potential MCU involvement, the actor chose to not engage in the discussion. He jokingly responded (via SAG AFTRA foundation),

“You said this was a 90-minute interview… it’s well past 90 minutes.”

Considering the popular IP is still yet to be done justice like One Piece on live-action, fans will hope Luffy’s potential opponent in Fortnite finally gets to shine in the upcoming Marvel flick.
