Dakota Johnson starrer Madame Web was supposed to be a suspenseful, enigmatic, adventurous thriller that would redefine the world of Sony’s Spider-verse. Despite bringing onto the screen one of the most fascinating characters that ever existed in Spider-Man comics, Madame Web, the movies neither have the thrill, adventure or draw of a comic book movie as fans have been stating.

Madame Web is another miserable failure for Sony

Instead, the only suspense and thrill that the movie has is the curiosity among fans as to why would Sony willingly hand over the writing of the film to the writer duo of Morbius, its previous epic commercial and critical fail. And so while fans have been busy criticizing the movie for its shoddy writing and whatnot, they have also come up with a game that is bound to add another medal to the movie’s wall of humiliation.

It is no secret now that Sony has miserably failed its promise of delivering a compelling Spider-verse tale in the form of Madame Web. The movie is being criticized left, right, and center for its wonderful writing and plot, which just seems too reminiscent of a parody or fanfic uploaded on sites like Wattpad.

While fans continue to make numerous memes, criticize its writers and hollow plot, and its many cringe dialogues on the internet (see X) and critics continue to brutally devour the movie for countless reasons (see The Hollywood Reporter), fans have come up with a brilliant yet humiliating game that is bound to put the movie to shame if hadn’t faced enough of it already.

In a tweet on X, one user came up with a game called Can you guess which is the lie? As per the game, there is a list of some of the most far-fetched and outrageous plot lines that supposedly took place in the movie and fans have to guess which one of them is a lie.

However, seeing the movie’s reviews, all of them seem to be true, and those who haven’t seen the movie cannot believe some of the events that took place in the movie. Well, seeing the previous track record of the writers of the movie, it is not as hard to believe that the Dakota Johnson starrer flick has successfully made its way to one of the most outrageous superhero movies that fans have seen in a while.

Being described as the worst comic book movie yet, Madame Web has successfully made its way into the worst movies of all time when it comes to the superhero genre. From Forbes and Rolling Stone to The Guardian, and The Hollywood Reporter, there is perhaps no major publication that hasn’t called out the movie for its terrible plot and storyline.

Even the fans are not far behind, brutally dissecting the movie for its terrible dialogues and plotholes all over the numerous social media sites. And so when the X user @TheEbonyMaw posted the humiliating game, this is how many of them reacted,

While the criticism and controversy around the movie rages on, maybe Sony and Marvel should wait and take some time before putting out other movies.
