Fans Don’t Really Have to Continue that Debate After This Confirmation

It looks like developers wanted to give more details to the term ‘Mafia’ for the latest entry in the game. It was revealed in one post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that there will be an inclusion of Sicilian voiceovers in the game.

This will give assurance to those fans who began a debate thinking it wouldn’t be featured in the Hangar 13 game.

More details for the game are said to be revealed in December 2024 but the trailer description says, “uncover the origins of organized crime“. Maybe we are going to see where it all began. Not the game, but the infamous term itself.

Many scholars believe that the origins of Mafia date back to the 19th century, while others postulate that it dates back to the Middle Ages. Some interpretations also indicate it emerged as a secret organization to overthrow foreign conquerors like Spaniards and Normans.

Furthermore, it is said to have drawn its members from mafie, a term used for small private armies back then. Absentee landlords hired them for the protection of their lands from bandits. These recruits eventually turned against their landowners, becoming the organization the game is based on.

As one goes deeper, one can find several more stories regarding this. Maybe the game has dug into it to provide a delicious narrative that the fans will love. We don’t know for sure until the game arrives but we will get to see some more details on the upcoming game soon.
