Recent reports have confirmed that the production company is all set to release an all-new project in the beloved franchise, which will be written by none other than David Koepp, the man behind the first Jurassic Park film made with Steven Spielberg. These reports also hint at the fact that the upcoming film could potentially be a complete overhaul of all the events we have witnessed thus far in the franchise.

And since the chapter of the last Jurassic World trilogy came to an end two years ago, Universal Studios wasted no time in quickly preparing for the next chapter of the story.

Recent reports by The Hollywood Reporter give us insights as to what to expect from the franchise going forward. It is being informed that David Koepp, the writer who worked with filmmaker Steven Spielberg on the original Jurassic Prak has returned to pen the new film. The studios have revealed that the formation of the script has been faster than expected, which is amazing news for them.
As for what the film might be remains unknown. It’s being speculated that the new film will be an all-new offering from the franchise with no involvement of stars from previous films like Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, but the film has also not been confirmed to be a complete reboot. What we do know at the moment is that the film will start production once the script has been finalized, and the release date can be somewhere in the first half of 2025.
It’s also confirmed that Spielberg will be the executive producer of the upcoming film via his production banner Amblin Entertainment.
