Many gamers forget that Nintendo is still early on in their mobile game catalog. Starting from Miitomo in 2016 to Mario Kart Tour in 2019, Nintendo have slowly been building their mobile game library for iOS and Android devices. Nintendo only has five games in total on app stores currently including Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, Fire Emblem Heroes, Mario Kart Tour, Super Mario Run and Pikmin Bloom.

None of the games have been able to hit the same heights as Mario Kart Tour. On launch day, Mario Kart Tour reached 20 million downloads globally, bigger than any previous Nintendo mobile game launch. The Mario Kart mobile game has had consistent updates for the past few years with new tours and Mii costumes. The latest tours are the Sundae Tour and the Summer Tour featuring new costumes and tracks.
