The 52-year-old, who regularly posts his demanding training regimens and swears by early morning workouts, makes it evident that his self-discipline pays off in the form of muscle growth.

Alongside super-fit celebrities like Jason Statham, Henry Cavill, and Dwayne Johnson, Wahlberg is undoubtedly one of the hardest-working men in the entertainment industry. Since his daily exercise regimen is as intense as it gets, the Mile 22 star provided ample evidence when he shared them on Instagram.

The schedule calls for multiple workouts, an abundance of snacks, and wake-up calls at 2:30 a.m. However, it appears that he is now done making those intense workout calls and taking some relief.

Mark Wahlberg’s Abandoned Pre-Dawn Workout Routine?

Being an actor means that one has to be in peak physical condition to play the roles that are offered. Despite their large salaries, actors must work long hours in the gym to achieve the necessary weight gain or loss for their roles.

Mark Wahlberg is one of these committed actors; his remarkable metamorphosis in his movies always left his fans in awe. As a fitness enthusiast, the actor makes sure to give it his all when he hits the target. The fitness icon and Hollywood hunk used to follow one strict workout regimen when he had to sacrifice his early mornings.

But, he has since changed his workout regimen after admitting that it was not “not good”.

Simply put, the father of four, who is known for having an amazing body, admitted that even he was getting too hard on himself for the intense regimen. The Entourage actor told Men’s Journal:

Nothing impedes on family time, so I sacrifice my mornings. Breakfast is at 3:45 a.m., by 4 I’m training, 5 a.m. is prayers, and I’m golfing at 6. Thursdays are for recovery, and Sunday is the Lord’s Day. I thrive on the grind.

Mark Wahlberg Realized It Was ‘Not Good’

Mark Wahlberg, an actor known for his discipline, may have found the extremely demanding and intense workout routine to be too much for him. He conveyed his appreciation and fatigue for his previous training regimen in his earlier interviews.

In an interview with Barstool Sport’s Pardon My Take in 2022, the actor discussed his viral daily regimen in order to promote his movie, Me Time.

Wahlberg responded as follows when asked how he used to feel every time something goes viral:

“That was – if I go to bed tonight at 6:30 p.m. I’ll wake up at 2:30 a.m. – I get eight hours of sleep, always. But that was when I was doing something very specific when I was training and I realised all that stuff is not good.”

He acknowledged last year that he had somewhat adjusted his schedule. The Ted actor stated in November 2022 that he now spends a little extra time in bed each morning. Wahlberg said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal that he now lets himself sleep until 3:30 or even 4 a.m:

“I always start with a little bit of prayer time. And then take my vitamins. I used to eat breakfast. Now I’m all about intermittent fasting. I don’t eat; I just go work out.”

He continued by saying that he does not need to work out for as long or do as much cardio in the gym:

“I feel like I’m getting better results. I’m trying to share that information with everybody because I’m really, really seeing the benefits and pretty quickly.”

For the unheard, in 2010, he was bestowed with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Wahlberg last appeared alongside Tom Holland in Spider-Man: No Way Home in action-adventure film, Uncharted.

You can watch Uncharted on Netflix.
