In recent interviews, Wahlberg did not shy away from expressing his thoughts on the matter. As per claims made by the talent, moving to Las Vegas has allowed his children to pursue their interests and career.

Having only praises to share for the state of Nevada, Mark Wahlberg told Fox Business that ample opportunities for growth are to be found at his new place of residence. “I would love to see us building studios, creating jobs, and just diversifying the economy. I’ve moved my last film here. I’m shooting another film here coming up in the summertime.”

This endeavor has ensued efforts on the 52-year-old actor’s part in advocating for the cause. The talent is lobbying Nevada state legislators to pass a bill for an increase of tax credits, elevated up to $190M annually, for film production in the state.

The Vendetta actor, notable particularly for his run as DC’s Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, seems to have made a move akin to Mark Wahlberg. After selling his lavish mansion in Malibu, reports claimed that the actor purchased a home in Las Vegas. As per TMZ, this new abode was purchased for an amount of just under $4 million.

Speaking to Fox News, the DC star emphasized that albeit having loved the state, the increased spike in crimes and the faulty state policies has effectively led to a ‘mass exodus from California’, driving people away from the place, including himself.

The following was the 56-year-old actor’s statement:

“I love California … Everything’s wonderful about it except for the policies. The policies are just terrible. The fiscal policies, the soft-on-crime policies, and the homelessness policies. The things that our leaders in California have been doing have driven out anybody who can really afford to get out. People are flocking out of there in droves.”

In the interview, Dean Cain also expressed excitement and joy over having to live in Vegas now, where the taxes are low and traffic is less. Truly a utopian destination for many. The actor, who was also once the host of Ripley’s Believe It or Not, ascertained that the “smart move” allowed him to spend quality time with his family, where they are living a better, happier life.

“Mark did a smart thing, and, hopefully, I believe I’ve done a very, very smart thing,” concluded the actor.

With another notable face in Hollywood marking a departure from California, time will only tell how many more are to follow. One will have to wait to see whether or not Wahlberg’s dream of Hollywood 2.0 comes to fruition.
