Marvel’s taking its sweet time with Holland’s Spider-Man 4, and fans are starting to notice. Fans are itching for updates on Spidey’s next big-screen adventure, but Marvel’s sluggishness has got them scratching their heads.

Meanwhile, Sony’s dropping hints about new Spider-Man stuff left and right, and now there’s even a collaboration with My Hero Academia in the mix. It’s like everyone’s jumping on the web-slinging bandwagon except for Spider-Man 4.

So, what’s the deal with Spider-Man 4? Well, it seems like it’s definitely in the cards. Producer Amy Pascal made that clear back in May 2023, and Holland himself confirmed it’s in the works, though still in the early stages.

But as of January 2024, we’re still in the dark about when it’s hitting theaters. Originally, folks thought it might swing into cinemas by July 2024, but things got tangled up with the Hollywood SAG-AFTRA strike, delaying production for a bunch of Marvel projects. Now, there’s talk of getting things rolling again in 2024.

With all these other Spider-Man projects buzzing around, it’s hard not to wonder why Spider-Man 4 seems to be stuck in limbo.

Maybe Marvel’s got some master plan we don’t know about, but fans can’t help but wonder what’s up with the delay and what it means for the future of Holland’s Spidey.
