Wolverine to Comeback On-Screen Before Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine has been one of the biggest news for the Marvel fans over the past year’s MCU updates. And as his highly anticipated return and MCU debut take a halt due to current circumstances in Hollywood, new reports have revealed that fans could expect the X-Men’s on-screen return even before Ryan ReynoldsDeadpool 3.

The popular character is set to appear in the upcoming animated series X-Men ’97. The series was expected to be released in the fall of 2023, however, it has reportedly been delayed till early 2024. It is described as a rebooted continuation of the 1990s X-Men: The Animated Series.

The animated series is also bringing back some of the original cast of the 1990 show, including a gruff, challenging, and fierce Wolverine voiced by Cal Dodd. While fans await Jackman’s return to the big screen, the animated series will give them a brief look at why Wolverine is the most loved X-Men.

X-Men ’97 Season 2 Under Works Ahead of its Release

X-Men ’97 serves as a revival of the 1990s X-Men animated series, and one of the stars of the series has stated that a second season is already under work ahead of its release. Lenore Zann, the voice behind Rogue in the animated series, shared the news on Twitter while replying to a fan account.

“Heck yeah Sugah! We’ve started – and I think you’re gonna love it,” she said in the tweet. The actress also described the upcoming Disney+ series as a “wild ride” and also shared that Rogue is her “favorite character I’ve played to date.”

While not much has been revealed about the series synopsis, reports claimed that it would follow Storm and Wolverine trying to continue X-Men and is expected to follow up on where the 1992 animated series left off. However, fans would have to wait a little longer as X-Men ’97 is among some of the upcoming Marvel projects that have suffered a delay in their release.

X-Men ’97 is expected to be released in the early 2024.

Deadpool 3 is expected to be released on May 3, 2024.
