Naturally, MCU fans were worried, wondering who would be the main villain in the next phase. Rumors had previously circulated on the internet that Dr. Doom would become the main villain of the franchise. However, that is not true as a reliable scooper from the movie industry shares that Marvel will continue with Kang the Conqueror as their main villain, and they will recast Majors with an actor meeting the requirements of the role.

Marvel Continues With Kang The Conqueror Despite Jonathan Majors Controversy

Jonathan Majors was the next big thing that Marvel presented to its fans, as he made his debut in the final episode of Loki in 2021 as He Who Remains as a variant of Kang the Conqueror. However, at the end of the episode was killed and Kang the Conqueror made his appearance, it showcased a multiverse in a way that is yet to be seen in the MCU.

Kang became the big bad face of the Multiverse Saga. However, charges were filed against the Creed III actor for physical assault and harassment of his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. While Marvel did not take any action until the final verdict was given, they did not waste time parting ways with Majors once he was proven guilty. Fans wondered who would be the main villain after Majors’ departure.

Recently, a scooper by the name of Charles Murphy (@_CharlesMurphy) shared on X that Marvel will continue with Kang the Conqueror by recasting the character. The news is surprising but gives a sigh of relief to the fans as it would not hamper the initial story that Marvel intended to show their loyal fans.

Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Nominated For The Razzies

2024 continues to be a tough year for Marvel Studios as their 2023 film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was one of the most hyped films for the superhero franchise. However, the sequel was immensely disappointing as it could not live up to its hype at the box office, and critics bombed the film with negative reviews.

The harsh criticism was partly countered by Jonathan Majors’ performance as Kang the Conqueror, who was a chilling antagonist that the fans loved to watch. Unfortunately, that was not enough to save the sequel from being featured in 4 nominations at the 2024 Golden Raspberry Awards which includes Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off, or Sequel as per The Razzies.

Getting nominated at the Golden Raspberry Awards is an embarrassing distinction for them because it is the first time that a Marvel film has been nominated for the award. The nomination rubs more salt into the wound for not only Kevin Feige but also for Jonathan Majors whose outstanding performance could not save the film from complete oblivion and getting nominated for the award.
