Marvel comics are home to some of the strongest fictional characters. Even among them, mutants are usually in a different stratosphere of power level.
The X-Men is a group of mutants that ensure the safety of the planet and more. Colossus is a member of the superhero group, and he has the ability to transform his entire body into a metallic form. But Marvel recently confirmed that his older brother, Mikhail Rasputin, is even stronger than Colossus.
Mikhail Rasputin is Way Stronger Than his Brother
According to Screen Rant, Marvel confirmed the existence of a mutant even stronger than Colossus in the X-Force #45 by Benjamin Percy, Robert Gill, and Guru-eFX.
In the new comic, Domino and Sage reach out to Dr. Strange to solve the puzzle of a ring, which leads to Mikhail.
Upon close inspection, Strange concludes that Mikhail has the ability to reshape and rearrange atoms. It’s way better of an ability than what his brother has. As we mentioned earlier, Colossus can only turn his flesh into metal.
Strange goes as far as saying that Mikhail’s subatomic literacy is close to magic. The Master of the Mystic Arts credits Mikhail’s ability to create voids between the atoms for being an insane threat to the world.
Mikhail’s Powers are Humongous, but he’s Not Undefeatable in Marvel Comics
Full Metal Alchemist characters can create almost anything they desire with the help of transmutation circles. Mikhail Rasputin, on the other hand, doesn’t need these circles to create objects.
In fact, Mikhail can even create worlds with his powers. But each overpowered ability comes with its own weaknesses, and Colossus’ brother is no different.
While Mikhail can control everything inside the world that he creates, the void doesn’t maintain itself. It requires insane concentration from the supervillain to maintain the world.
If someone makes Mikhail lose his concentration, the entire void created by him can come crashing down. The perfect example of it was when the supervillain was shot by an Orchis member in the same issue.
While Mikhail possesses a lot of overpowered abilities, and he’s certainly more powerful than Colossus, he falls short of being an Omega-level mutant. This is the strongest class of mutants, which are deemed almost impossible to defeat.
Can the X-Force take advantage of this weakness? Or will they, alongside the entire world, crumble in front of Mikhail’s wrath? Fans will find their answer in the upcoming issues of X-Force.
