Could Magneto Be Coming Back For Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3?

It is confirmed that the X-Men will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hugh Jackman being a part of Deadpool 3 alongside Ryan Reynolds is reason enough for fans to believe that as well. There have been hints and signs everywhere within the franchise indicating the existence of mutants and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was the big step that they needed for confirmation.

One of the most iconic mutants, as well as superhero antagonists, is Magneto. His powers are just as intriguing as his gripping persona as a villain. Although there is not any confirmation about either Ian McKellen or Michael Fassbender reprising their role, it does not stop fans from hoping. Having an enigmatic and impactful villain such as Magneto could be a big step for the franchise. The rumors are endless and with the theory of having various mutants returning in the third installment of Reynolds’ film, it only makes sense to see McKellen or Fassbender also coming back.

In an interview with ET Online, Patrick Stewart did reveal that he was hoping to return as his iconic character. However, what he also added was that he wasn’t the only one interested. Ian McKellen too was looking forward to getting a chance as Magneto once again.

Wanda Maximoff As A Villain Again?

MCU fans saw Elizabeth Olsen go from one of the strongest Avengers to a villain they could not get out of their heads. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness did see the Scarlet Witch both rise and fall. However, it made her variants aware of all the chaos brewing inside her mind. If not the Wanda we are used to seeing then another; she could once again be a villain.

Having to deal with the damages that the Scarlet Witch left behind when she had taken over another variant’s body could be exactly what drives another Wanda Maximoff off the edge. Either way, having a powerful villain is exactly needed to face off against the powerful duo of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
