Peter Fonda portrayed the character in the 2007 film Ghost Rider, and Ciaran Hinds played him in its 2012 sequel Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.
You may think the biggest villains in the Marvel Universe are Thanos or Galactus. But they could not even come close to Mephisto. So, if the rumor of getting him as the main villain in the possible Midnight Sons movie comes true, it will be good to see him there in a project like that.
