Helldivers 2 has been a remarkable success, with millions of players playing the game and fighting for democracy against the Terminids and Automatons. The game has received rave reviews from fans and critics alike and has been praised for several things, including avoiding microtransactions.
The fight for democracy is well underway, with Helldivers taking on aliens, but it turns out they’re not alone because Marvel’s Spider-Man has also been confirmed to be in the game. But there’s a catch, as it’s not Spider-Man exactly, but the popular voice actor Yuri Lowenthal, who voices in the game.
Yuri Lowenthal Confirms He Is in Helldivers 2
Yuri Lowenthal is one of the most popular voice actors, having voiced Peter Parker in both Marvel’s Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 titles as well as in several cartoons and anime. Helldivers 2 players have been speculating that one of the four Helldiver voices in the game sounds a lot like Lowenthal and have been tagging and asking the voice actor, but he did not say anything about it.
The voice actor has now confirmed his involvement in the game and that he is behind one of the voices for the Helldivers. It seems like he was under some kind of NDA, but it has been removed now. He also stated that his performance in the game is “heavily” influenced by Starship Troopers.

Starship Troopers is a movie set in the 23rd century that follows an intergalactic war with aliens, and the game also takes inspiration from it. Players can equip Lowenthal’s voice pack, Voice Pack 2 from the Armory, to listen to some words of wisdom from Spider-Man himself that might prove helpful in the battle.
The other voice packs are from Hi-Fi Rush voice actor Robbie Daymond, Starfield and CoD actor Julie Nathanson, and another Spider-Man voice actor, Erica Lindbeck, who voices Black Cat.
Fan Reactions to Yuri Lowenthal’s Helldivers 2 Reveal
The majority of the players had already figured out that it was Lowenthal since the release of the game and were happy to see him finally confirming it. Some who were still struggling to figure it out were also delighted to know that it was him. The fans celebrated his involvement in the game and appreciated him for his performance.
A player said that the dialogues in the game reveal that he had “loads of fun doing these lines.” Another fan added that they figured out it was Yuri on day one and have been praising him since, adding that the fans can now officially celebrate it. Lowenthal also revealed that he is aware of fans speculating that it’s him, but he was waiting to hear from Arrowhead that it would be okay to share.

One player said that they were happy to know that it wasn’t their mind making this up, while another added, “I instantly went, “Is that Yuri?” Many other players appreciated him for nailing the role, with one player saying the lines are “hilarious” while another said, “it’s pure gold.”
