The Jason Bourne star, who is a very close friend of the Thor actor, was reminded of the incident by Seacrest, how during an appearance on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan (now known as LIVE with Kelly and Mark), he and Hemsworth stole his moment of fame.
Ryan Seacrest Said Matt Damon Stole His Thunder
Ryan Seacrest is among one of the most recognizable and respected figures in the entertainment industry. The former co-host of Kelly Ripa once recalled an incident when the Hollywood star Matt Damon and his close friend, Chris Hemsworth, stole his thunder.
He said that he remembers the day as he recalled telling his ex-girlfriend Shayna Taylor about the van as it pulled up. “I saw the van, and I said to Shayna, ‘Oh, here comes the van,'” he recalled and said that he thought of waving at the fans.
However, as he began to wave, he noticed their attention shifting toward a black SUV. When he noticed Damon with the Marvel star, only one thought came to his mind, “Matt Damon’s stealing my one thunder!” And the Stillwater actor also recalled the whole incident, revealing how he and his friends stole the show that day.
Matt Damon Recalled Running into Ryan Seacrest
After meeting through a mutual friend, Matt Damon and Chris Hemsworth have become very close friends. During his appearance on LIVE With Kelly and Mark, Damon recalled an incident when he and his close friend stole the thunder of the former host of the show, Ryan Seacrest.
The Martian star shared that he was once driving through Seacrest’s neighborhood with Hemsworth and his brother, Liam Hemsworth when they saw him walking his dog. “Ryan’s the busiest guy in show business, so I don’t know how he has time for this, but he was walking his dog,” Damon recalled. Around the same time, a star tour bus pulled up.
Damon shared that after seeing Seacrest, he told the Extraction star to roll down the window. “So Chris rolls down the window, goes, ‘How ya doing everyone? Chris Hemsworth, nice to see you,” he shared. After addressing the fans, Hemsworth pointed to the host, saying, “Ryan Seacrest everyone, walking his dog!”
Damon shared that as people were getting ready to shoot Hemsworth, he switched seats with him. As they followed on the same route, they stopped at another red light, and Daman switched seats with The Hunger Games star to surprise the fans. Kelly Ripa chimed in calling it “incredible”.
