Audiences have finally seen the first look at Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest project, The Marvels. The Marvel Studios held its premiere in Las Vegas on November 7, 2023. It also had press screenings in New York and Los Angeles.
The superhero movie is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 10, 2023, as part of Phase Five of the MCU.
But fans are disappointed when they get to know—Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris missed a significant opportunity to attend its premiere because of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.
Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris Missed The Marvels Premiere
The Marvels, starring Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, and Teyonah Parris, directed by Nia DaCosta, is hitting theaters soon. It’s a sequel to Captain Marvel—which made a ton of money. But it looks like the new movie doesn’t expect the same massive box office success.
The last movie, Captain Marvel, benefited because it was tied directly to Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, which helped build excitement.
But more than the film’s box office success, fans were disappointed when they found out that the breakout star of the Disney+ series, Ms. Marvel, and WandaVision‘s actress were both missing from the premiere amid the SAG-AFTRA strike.
Iman missing the premiere of her first movie and Teyonah still not being able to attend a Marvel premiere makes me so sad

The upcoming superhero film is Vellani’s first film, and that’s why fans wanted her to attend this premiere. Fans just wanted to see their favorite celebrities on the red carpet during a premiere event. They said that without the presence of these stars, the premiere felt lackluster.
Fans Wanted to See The Marvels Stars to Attend The Premiere
Fans are pretty mad about The Marvels stars missing their Las Vegas premiere on Tuesday. One fan commented on the X post, “I hate that this strike went for so long, this press tour would’ve been everything.”

While another fan hoped for the strike to end before the film rollout. Another wished that they could “at least get them [The Marvels actors] on a talk show together.”
I'm hoping that the strike ends just in time as the film rolls out 🥲

we can hopefully at least get them on a talk show together

The irony is that the strike ended at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, after the SAG-AFTRA TV/Theatrical Committee unanimously approved the agreement on November 8.
It’s both doom and gloom news for the film stars. The strike’s conclusion came just two days after the film’s premiere. Anyway, it opened the door for future promotions and participation of actors in other events.
