Portraying the character of General Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, veteran actor Harrison Ford will be seen in the upcoming movie Thunderbolts which could set up the events for World War Hulk. A recent rumor, however, states that Red Hulk and Red She-Hulk are the main leads of the alleged movie and not Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk!
Mark Ruffalo Will Allegedly Not Be The Hero In World War Hulk
The MCU series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law revealed that the bad guys are after the blood of She-Hulk as they can transform themselves into a Hulk with an injection. This moment is key in setting up the events of World War Hulk alongside the upcoming 2025 movie, Thunderbolts.
As the name suggests, World War Hulk will feature a battle between Hulks from all over the world. With a fight for dominance fueled by the rage of Hulk, the alleged movie could be one of the biggest MCU movies ever made and fans are hoping to see Mark Ruffalo as the main protagonist. A recent report on X, however, states that Ruffalo will not be the lead star of the film!

Fans did not like this rumor at all since they have been following Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk since 2012’s The Avengers. Portraying the Hulk as not just a killing machine, Ruffalo did give the monster a human side and emotions of love, and sadness. With the alleged World War Hulk in the making, how exactly did the events of the MCU lead to an all-out war?
How The Events of the MCU Led To World War Hulk
We have already seen villains injecting Jennifer Walters’ blood into themselves and becoming the Hulk. The upcoming 2025 movie Thunderbolts will essentially feature a team made by General Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross (played by Harrison Ford). The team will be made up of anti-heroes which could also have a connection to Spider-Man and Daredevil.
Thunderbolt is also known as the Red Hulk in Marvel Comics. Thunderbolt was also exposed to gamma radiation and turned into the Red Hulk to have an advantage over his enemies. The events of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Thunderbolts perfectly set up the premise for the alleged World War Hulk movie. It would truly be a shame if Mark Ruffalo wouldn’t be the main lead in it.
