So many theories, some vague and some so convincing that there’s no denying the facts. As Elden Ring: Shadow of The Erdtree comes close to its release, fans are eager to know what’s waiting for them beyond that cocoon that rests upon the Mohg’s bloody chamber. For now, we just know that it is a point of entry to the Land of Shadow.

Miquella, the character central to the DLC, is being associated by fans with a new boss Messmer The Impaler. In fact, some consider him the alternate version of Miquella. However, he resembles more of a connection with Radagon of the Golden Order attributing to red hairs, and Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, for he carries a slithery friend with him. But when fans will see this they won’t be able to unsee it.

This May Come As a Shock To Elden Ring Fans

Sure Messmer shares a resemblance with other demigods, but there is one similarity that may support the theory of him being Miquella. Even a keen eye may miss this but the hand in the cocoon and Messmer’s hand appear rather identical. It’s just, that Messmer’s appears afresh instead of being dry and dead for obvious reasons. We all know who’s inside the cocoon, so, what are the chances?

Though he will be a major villain, Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki has called himanother hero,” another factor that may raise questions regarding the character being Miquella. On the contrary, the Tarnished may actually be the villain hiding in plain sight. From slaughtering the Chanting Winged Dame to burning the Erdtree, the player has done it all.

Without a shadow of a doubt, he will be a hard nut to crack. However, the Tarnished will likely be getting new powers and tactics for the new challenges that await in shadowlands. It appears like the sight will be a feast for eyes when they finally run up against each other.

He Appears To Be a Culmination of All

There are more with whom he shares some resemblance with. Players might have noticed his left eye remains closed similar to the likes of Ranni the Witch and Melina. One of the fans called LEXX911 recently took to the social platform Reddit for a similar debate, sharing photos of characters sharing the quality.

A lot will be uncovered about the character upon the extension’s release. Another thing to give thought to is, that the entity in the egg might be Messmer whom Mohg might have created, entirely different from Miquella. However, from what Hidetaka Miyazaki has shared, it is highly unlikely.

Players will soon get to play the game’s extension where they will follow a narrative uncovering mysteries behind the land where Queen Marika was born.

Do you think the cocoon is holding Messmer instead of Miquella? Tell us in the comments.
