Michael Fassbender has established himself as one of the all-time greats in Hollywood, thanks to a wide variety of roles over the years. His latest film is The Killer, by David Fincher and fans have divisive opinions on it already.
Michael Fassbender has gone the extra mile for his roles no matter what, as he is always determined to ensure each of his movies shows off his acting prowess, one way or the other. Fassbender perfected a part of his latest film following an unorthodox method.
Michael Fassbender Was ‘Salivating To Do’ The Killer
The Killer is based on a French graphic novel of the same title that was written by Alexis “Matz” Nolent and illustrated by Luc Jacamon. Naturally, there was a lot of hype around the movie for all good reasons.
While speaking to Empire Magazine, Michael Fassbender talked about working on The Killer, admitting that the David Fincher crime drama was the type of film he wanted to do for a long time.
“This is the type of film I was salivating to do. There’s suspense and intrigue. A slow drip. I love that kind of movie. There’s just trying to understand the mind of a sociopath. I try and put together a lifespan, to where the character is now.”

Michael Fassbender Lay On The Bed For 4 Days Just To Perfect One Aspect For The Killer
It has already been established that Michael Fassbender is willing to do anything for his roles in a film. Therefore, it comes as no surprise he went beyond and above for The Killer. While speaking to Josh Horowitz, Michael Fassbender talked about preparing for The Killer.
Michael Fassbender revealed that in order to prepare for the narration scenes where his character had inner monologues, Fassbender lay down on a bed for four days, where cue cards were placed on a screen above his face.
”I think it was four sessions we did. It was supposed to be very intimate and finding a certain tone in the delivery. Dave was like I wanna be super relaxed. So we came up with the system where I’m lying down, the cue cards were on a screen above my face and the microphone was here. We first tried it where I was face down, but everything got a little nasal. In the end, I was lying on a bed. It was the most comfortable ADR voice over session I had done. We took our time, it was four sessisons of that.”
The Killer has received positive reviews as far as critics are concerned, as it has secured a Rotten Tomatoes score of 85%.
