Although Zack Snyder compared his 2023 film with Barbie, there was no real comparison to be drawn. Since Rebel Moon: Part One was released on Netflix and Barbie was released in theaters, there was no way to exactly estimate if Snyder’s film was a good earner or not.
Having around 90 million views, the film was indeed viewed by many but the overall rating of the film is not good. On the other hand, Millie Bobby Brown’s Damsel debuted recently on Netflix and it literally beat Snyder’s Rebel Moon. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), it was shared that Damsel debuted at 35.3 million views on Netflix!

On the other hand, Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon debuted at 34 million views during its first week and was the 9th best debut for a Netflix original film. Being a British actress, Bobby Brown found her American accent in a very strange way. Watching Miley Cyrus’ Hannah Montana, Bobby Brown revealed that she loved watching the show!
Millie Bobby Brown Learned Her Accent From Hannah Montana!
Before she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2022, it was rumored that Brown had learned her American accent from watching Hannah Montana. The Enola Holmes actress confirmed it during the 2022 interview and said that she saw films like The Godfather when she was 8!
“Yes, absolutely! I watched Bugsy Malone and Godfather when I was like eight and my parents were like, you know, watching all these movies with me and I was like ‘Yeah but Hannah Montana is like Oscar-nominating, like it’s so good’.”
In Miley Cyrus’ Instagram series called Bright Minds, Millie Bobby Brown met her idol and revealed that she indeed learned her accent from the Disney show.
“The only way I got my American accent was by watching Hannah Montana…I was obsessed with [Hannah Montana].. I wanted your job. I didn’t know how to get your job but I was like, ‘I want to be like Hannah Montana. I don’t know how to do it’.”
Damsel, starring Bobby Brown in the lead role, earned a rating of 6.2/10 on IMDB and an average score of 58% on Rotten Tomatoes. With Robin Wright and Angela Bassett also in the film, Damsel is available to stream on Netflix around the world.
