In an interview with Variety, Millie Bobby Brown talked about her acting career, where she revealed that she decided to become an actress at the age of eight, and she was extremely determined to overcome every obstacle in her way. Millie Bobby Brown described her passion as a ‘bug’, but things weren’t easy as she never took acting lessons or underwent training to be a singer, and she does this while being deaf in one ear. Nonetheless, she never let this handicap come in the way. Here’s what the young actress said in the interview:

“It was like a bug, I know this sounds crazy, but once I find something I want to do, nobody’s stopping me. If I don’t know how to sew, and I really had that passion to sew, that’s it, I’m going to sew. That’s also with acting. So here I am.”

You can talk with your face. It’s very easy for someone to say, ‘I’m mad. I’m sad. I’m angry.’ I have to just do it with my face. I just started to sing, and if I sound bad, I don’t care, because I’m just doing what I love. You don’t have to be good at singing. You don’t have to be good at dancing or acting. If you like to do it, if you genuinely enjoy doing it, then do it. No one should stop you.”

Millie Bobby Brown’s words are an inspiration for people who have some sort of disability in their life, and the young actress believes that even though being deaf in one ear could take away the confidence of an actor or a singer, it should not affect them in any form as long as they are enjoying their work.

What Did Millie Bobby Brown Comment on the Role of Eleven?

Million Bobby Brown as Eleven in Stanger Things

Millie Bobby Brown reveals that she was only 11 when she auditioned for the role of Eleven, and she came up with Eleven’s death stare which landed her the role. She wasn’t intimidated by Eleven’s lack of dialogue as she believes that facial expressions are a great way of expression, and she did not mind shaving her head either, as it gave her the ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ look, but what made her extremely nervous were the kissing scenes. Here’s what the actress said:

“You can talk with your face,” she says matter-of-factly. “It’s very easy for someone to say, ‘I’m mad. I’m sad. I’m angry.’ I have to just do it with my face. It was a strange experience. Having 250 people looking at you kissing someone is like, ‘Whoa!’”

Millie Bobby Brown played the role of Eleven flawlessly in Stranger Things, the producers of the show were extremely impressed with her acting skills and even compared her to Tom Cruise, as she had a great understanding of how the camera works, and she knows how to use it to her advantage, or adjust her performance accordingly.
