The highly-anticipated Modern Warfare 3 will launch next month on November 10. Players have waited a long time for the game and with first weekend beta now live for players on PlayStation, the excitement is at an all-time high.
There have been numerous leaks about Modern Warfare 3 in the last few months and a new leak now suggests that Modern Warfare 3 could feature an Advanced Warfare crossover, allegedly bringing weapons from Advanced Warfare in future seasons.
Modern Warfare 3 Could Feature a Crossover with Advanced Warfare
Call of Duty has been going on for 20 years now and even with titles launching almost every year, the franchise has maintained its reputation and a strong fanbase. The franchise has taken players to different periods but it made waves with the release of Advanced Warfare titles, in a futuristic setting. Players have loved these games and it seems like Activision has got some surprises up its sleeves.
According to a rumor making rounds online, Modern Warfare 3 might have a crossover with Sledgehammer Games’ previous title Advanced Warfare. Leakers Alaix and Bob took to X, formerly Twitter, and stated that the Advance Warfare weapons could feature in the post-launch seasons of the game. There are rumors that Modern Warfare 3‘s seasons will be themed around legacy COD titles, allegedly to celebrate 20 years of the franchise.

According to Bob, season 3 of the game will feature Advanced Warfare weapons including, AMS1, EM1, BAL27, and the MORS. These guns are some of the most used and popular weapons from Advanced Warfare and it would exciting to see them in MW3, especially the laser-beam shooter, EM1. The addition of weapons will surely enhance the experience for players.
It is already confirmed that Modern Warfare 3 will launch with 16 remastered maps from the original Modern Warfare 2 so it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if these weapons do make an appearance in the game. Fans shouldn’t just trust these leaks as there are chances that these rumors may be true but developers could still change their plans anytime.
However, nothing has been confirmed yet as there has been no announcement from the developers. The inclusion of weapons from previous games could also see criticism from players as they anticipate new gameplay elements from the developers.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Beta Weekend is Now Live
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 first beta weekend kicked off on October 6th and players on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 have access to try their hands on the multiplayer before the full launch. Fans have loved the remastered maps and the new movement system, but there were also some issues.
Sledgehammer Games quickly brought balance adjustments for the Battle Rage tactical equipment following players’ feedback at COD Next. The tactical equipment was overly powerful and gave players boosted health regeneration and allowed them to finish squads with increased regen speed and kills extending the duration, which was a major issue.
The developers made several adjustments to give the best experience for the players including reducing max duration from 10s to 6s, kills no longer increasing the effect duration, health regeneration now only starts when players finish an enemy, incoming damage interrupts health regeneration, and removing boosted health regeneration speed.
