Moon Knight is certainly one of the most unique characters to make his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. having been brought to life by the legendary actor, Oscar Isaac, there is something unique and intriguing about these three characters, Marc Spector, Steven Grant, and Jack Lockley, who are trapped in one body of Spector, who suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder. Getting their powers from the Heliopolis God of the Moon and Vengeance, Khonshu, they help do his dirty work for him, often being referred to as Khonshu’s fists.
Despite being an important part of the Marvel comics and having constant interactions with characters like Spider-Man, when it comes to the MCU, this character has only existed in his miniseries as of yet. Eventually, however, it is expected that he will make his way into the main storyline. The subject of how this will happen, however, is still heavily debated. A recent theory certainly makes this a lot more interesting as it suggests that this character could end up going head-to-head against the main villain of the franchise at the moment, Kang.

Could Khonshu From Moon Knight Also Be The God Of Time?
User PocketBlackHole on Reddit suggested a very interesting theory about the powers of Moon Knight and Khonshu that could completely alter the way we see the conflict of Kang the Conqueror, the main villain of the franchise at the moment. The theory suggests that Khonshu is not only the God of the Moon and Vengeance but also that of time. There is quite a lot of proof that, though does not form anything absolute, could certainly lead up to something much more serious.
It brings attention to the philosophy that this character follows, believing in free will and punishing only those who have actually committed crimes, unlike Ammit. This shows, granted quite subtly, that he is a firm believer in letting things flow according to prescribed patterns. Another aspect that was pointed out was the fact that in The Friendly Type, the third episode of the series, he helps Moon Knight and Layla by basically rewinding time on a heavenly scale, to guide them to Ammit’s tomb through the help of constellations from years ago.
This is a common symbolism used in many cultures to showcase the deities surrounding time. They also added that Khonshu bringing back or healing Moon Knight over and over can be interpreted as him turning back so that he had never gotten hurt in the first place.
Moon Knight Could End Up Fighting Kang
Outside of these factors, the most important aspect of this theory is the fact that in the third episode of Moon Knight, an Easter egg is seen that directly relates to Kang the Conqueror. When Moon Knight is battling a group of cultists, one of them is seen wearing a jacket that has Rama-Tut on it. In the comics, this is a variant of Kang, who went back in time to become a pharaoh and rule. It is also very well established that Khonshu despises this character.
This, surely cannot be a coincidence, and can be speculated that this may lead up to something, in some way or the other. Kang’s attempts to change history in his favor would certainly not go unnoticed, especially when it comes to, potentially, the God of time. while nothing has been hinted at as of yet other than this one Easter egg, it could be possible that Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight may go head to head against Jonathan Majors’ Kang at some point in the franchise’s future.
