Mortal Kombat 1 was one of the major fighting games to come last year. This new entry resets all the lore and makes Liu Kang a literal god. The history and the new cameo system were very good additions to the franchise. With great collaborations with some popular Hollywood names, such as Jean-Claude Van Damme, who finally put his voice for Johnny Cage, and Megan Fox, Ed Boon’s title has now confirmed that a very anticipated feature will come soon to Mortal Kombat 1.
Mortal Kombat 1 Crossplay Will Finally Come, According to Ed Boon
The new entry in the long, iconic saga of fighting games was a tremendous success for Warner Bros. Games. Mortal Kombat 1 resets its own history and makes a new beginning with even younger protagonists. The new story mode has Johnny Cage, Liu Kang, and other not-so-expected characters at the center of the conflict. But with a very original twist, fans were happy with this chosen path.
But players were also asking for a very important feature that would change the meaning of winning.
Crossplay will finally be available in Mortal Kombat 1. This feature was one of the more requested by fans, and NetherRealm Studios, from the beginning, said that it would eventually come to the game. After more than five months since the official launch of the game, Mortal Kombat 1 will add crossplay on February 28. The players will fight against opponents from PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC through the Epic Games Store.
This new possibility will be in line with the release of Peacemaker in the game.
Much More Is Coming to Mortal Kombat 1
MK1 has a new DLC character that will be added to the game soon. Peacemaker from The Suicide Squad will arrive in the WB game; this antivillain also has a TV series on Max that is working on a second season. This fighter will have his faithful animal companion, Eagly, a bold eagle that will attack on command and will also sweep the enemy. Peacemaker will be arriving in MK1 on March 6 and Early Access on February 28.
This is the third character from the first pack of new fighters.
Homelander from The Boys will also be available some time this year, as will Ermac and Takahashi Takeda. At the moment, Omni-Man from Invincible, Quan-Chi, and now Peacemaker are the first characters from this pack to be available in the game. NetherRealm Studios will probably launch a new pack of fighters after this first wave is completed.
