The character also has several moves from the big moments in The Boys for his finishing moves, just like any other character that comes to the game. One fan has spotted that there is also a reference to one important moment from Season 3 of The Boys.

In Season 3, Episode 8, he uses laser vision to melt a protestor’s head, and the trailer shows him doing the same to his opponent. This was a shocking moment in the series and marked a turning point for the character, giving rise to a slew of memes across social media sites.

There is another fatality that involves an airplane and ends with him throwing off his opponent with one of the plane’s engines. There is one such scene in Season 1, but this is different from what happened in the show but is still a reference.

There Are Several Other References to the Iconic Moments

In the trailer, he is seen giving the same treatment to Liu Kang. The other reference is the “Sticks and stones won’t break my bones, but words…” scene, but instead of Starlight, it is Kitana on the other end.
