A great number of films were lined up for the audience to feast their eyes on this year, some of which became an overnight success. But arguably, the most highly-anticipated film of the year was scheduled to be released in December, which is none other than Zack Snyder’s newly released Rebel Moon.
It can be said that the film was one of the most hyped-up new films that were being patiently waited for by the filmmaker’s fans as it marks his return to the director’s chair after a long while. Despite all the excitement, though, it seems like the end result wasn’t able to live up to the anticipation, as critics bashed the film with a 9% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon Openes With An Abysmal Rating On Rotten Tomatoes By Critics
When people have rallied behind a cause as passionate as forcing a studio to release a film’s director’s cut, then there may be something about the filmmaker that stands out to so many around the world. Thus, it’s no wonder that Zack Snyder was the talk of the town when the streaming giant Netflix announced they would be collaborating with the filmmaker for the creation of a cinematic franchise of their own.
The advent of that vision was all set to start with the release of the recently released first film of the two-part series titled Rebel Moon.

Alas, it seems like all that hype that was surrounding the film’s release went up in smoke as the first critical reviews started to pour in from all directions. These ratings have culminated in giving Rebel Moon Part One: A Child of Fire, an unforeseen and highly disappointing 9% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, one of the worst in cinema history.

This may come as a shock to many people since the air surrounding this movie’s release was all filled with grand aspirations and an even grander success story for the Watchmen director’s return. But contrary to those predictions, the film seems to have left the audience with way too much to be desired.

While these may be some of the worst reviews that we might’ve ever seen, they are still early reviews, and the ratings at the end of the first weekend may change in real time. The fact is that ratings are still changing at a rapid pace, which may even bring out the film from this sorry state as we speak.
