It can be said that the film was one of the most hyped-up new films that were being patiently waited for by the filmmaker’s fans as it marks his return to the director’s chair after a long while. Despite all the excitement, though, it seems like the end result wasn’t able to live up to the anticipation, as critics bashed the film with a 9% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

This may come as a shock to many people since the air surrounding this movie’s release was all filled with grand aspirations and an even grander success story for the Watchmen director’s return. But contrary to those predictions, the film seems to have left the audience with way too much to be desired.
