5. Stardust

Stardust was a movie with not only a renowned and incredible cast but just as incredible of a writer behind the premise of the film. The movie was based on a novel of the same name written by Neil Gaiman. It starred Charlie Cox and Claire Daines alongside Henry Cavill and Ben Barnes. Robert Di Nero, Michelle Pfeiffer, Mark Strong, and Ricky Gervais were also some actors who were a part of the film.

While the movie did not make a lot of profit, it did satisfy a lot of the book lovers’ wants as well as those who weren’t familiar with Gaiman’s work. The basic structure of the movie revolves around Cox’s character being pulled into the world of fairies as he tries to save Daines’s character from an evil witch because of her beauty. Cavill is mainly there as an irritating presence for the protagonists and hence his talent does not get enough credit because of his other bigger roles.

4. The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

The 2015 flick starred Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer, Alicia Vikander, and Elizabeth Debicki. The movie is one that is quite overlooked because of projects that rise much higher in Cavill’s roster. Films like Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Enola Holmes overshadow his underrated crime-fighting film immensely, The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

The premise of the movie revolves around Napoleon Solo, Cavill’s character, who is a CIA Agent. Solo is forced to team up with Armie Hammer’s character, who is Illya Kuryakin, A KGB Operative. Both of them are pushed into a mission together in order to fight another organization trying to get their hands on nuclear weapons. This inevitably makes them set their differences aside and work as a team.

3. Blood Creek

Blood Creek happens to be Henry Cavill’s big break. The movie barely made over $200,000 and yet it had enough room to give a platform to the struggling actor. This was not just an ordinary platform as it was the first time he ever played a lead character in a movie. Directed by Joel Schumaker, the movie stars Cavill along with Michael Fassbender, Dominic Purcell, and Emma Booth. The movie came out in 2009 and finally gave room to an entire career worth of lead roles for Henry Cavill.

1. Sand Castle

The most underrated movie of Henry Cavill happens to be none other than Sand Castle. The 2017 flick is basically forgotten even by fans of the actor. Getting merely 47% on Rotten Tomatoes, the start of the movie was not looking as strong as it would have hoped. One of Netflix’s first works with the actor, the movie saw his character embracing the truth of war. The harsh reality he gets pushed into when his unit is forced to go in the midst of an Iraqi village is not at all kind to him.
