MrBeast’s counting to 100,000 was one of the main steps to success in his career. It took him over 40 hours to count to 100k for a video which brought him worldwide attention in a very short period. When Jimmy Donaldson spoke about the video in an interview, he revealed that it was his obsession with Naruto that helped him to think of the incredible feat.

Naruto, one of the big three names in the world of anime is also known for its massive storyline, and according to Jimmy Donaldson, he didn’t want to invest so much time for nothing. He had the insane urge to make his watch more fruitful.

“I was watching a show called Naruto and it’s like 700 episodes but I couldn’t justify the time to watch it. So I really wanted to watch this show but I was like, it’s too much time so I just put it on pause and then I started thinking you know ‘How can I make money while I watch this’ and so I just, I blew it.”

Ultimately, he came up with a unique plan that worked like magic. The Feastables founder practiced counting and went on to count to 100,000 while enjoying the anime. The video went viral and proved to be a major push to his channel which presently boasts 171 million subscribers.
