Thus, Disney has doubled down on their effort to revive The Lion King series, first with the modern animated remake of the original story, and now, with the prequel to the original. It has recently been revealed what we can expect from the upcoming Mufasa: The Lion King, and reading the premise, fans don’t seem to be too excited about it.

And sure enough, we have now got the premise breakdown of the upcoming Mufasa: The Lion King, which gives us an idea of what to expect from it in the future.

As is obvious from the title, the film will focus on the sparsely detailed story of Simba’s father from the original film and the 2019 remake when it’s released. It’s also going to be laden with all the unknown titbits and unexplored backstories of major characters from the film’s lore.

Despite this expansion, though, it doesn’t seem like the fandom is all that excited for the film, as they are confused about what to make of it.
