Elizabeth Olsen‘s Scarlet Witch can easily be the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most powerful hero. Even the MCU president, Kevin Feige, agreed to it in an interview (via Screen Rant). The president confirmed that Scarlet Witch, aka Wanda Maximoff’s abilities, surpasses other Avengers as well.
This places the character at the pinnacle of strength within the MCU, even surpassing Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), whom the Marvel president previously identified as the strongest hero in the MCU. This shift in Kevin Feige’s assessment was also seen on X when a user shared a post featuring the two superheroes in a cinematic duel.

Wanda Maximoff initially gained her powers through Hydra’s experiments with the Mind Stone. This granted her telekinesis and mental manipulation abilities. These abilities, however, were revealed to be innate, merely amplified by the Mind Stone. This was revealed in WandaVision, which portrayed that the Mind Stone unlocked her real potential, leading her to embrace her destiny as the Scarlet Witch.
As Scarlet Witch, Wanda’s powers were expanded dramatically. She could now manipulate minds on a grand scale and alter reality itself, capable of creating life. For instance, in the Westview incident, she transformed the entire town into a sitcom-style community.
Further, the movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness showcased her possession of the Darkhold, which further enhanced her abilities. After this she gained other powers, such as dream walking, energy absorption, and endurance, making her even more formidable.

Towards the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Wanda’s fate was ambiguous, leaving the fandom on the edge of their seats. While her character appeared to be crushed by falling debris, characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe always defy death, and her powers hinted at a possible escape.
But Marvel put an end to all these theories by confirming that Scarlet Witch had indeed died in the movie (via Screen Rant). Now adding more to this, the recently released Deadpool & Wolverine featured a Wanda monument at Mount Wundagore. The same exact place where she was crushed in Multiverse of Madness.
The inclusion of this monument served as a possible reminder of her death. However, despite this, there’s still hope that her statue hints at her possible return to the MCU, keeping faith alive among fans.
