The Marvel Cinematic Universe has evolved since Tom Holland’s initial involvement, with some feeling that the franchise has lost its initial charm. Criticisms often revolve around the fact that Marvel uses the same old tired troops and formula that just doesn’t hit anymore.

‘I went through a phase in my career where I was too old to play a child but too young to play a teenager, it took me a long time to grow up.

My mum decided to send me to carpentry school. She packed my bag up, shipped me off to Cardiff in Wales and I rented a room off this lady and shared a room with her son.

Tom Holland further added that he went to a school which had people who wanted to turn their lives around, including ex-cons.

So I went to school and was training to become a carpenter and the thing about this course was, there were a lot of people trying to turn their lives around, there were ex-cons on the course and they were all swapping stories.”

While speaking to Collider, Tom Holland was asked about whether a Spider-Man 4 will ever be made. The Spider-Man actor made it clear that he will not be making another film in the series unless it is worth the while of the character.

All I can say is that we have been actively engaging in conversations about what it could potentially look like for a fourth rendition of my character. Whether or not we can find a way to do justice to the character is another thing. I feel very protective over Spider-Man. I feel very, very lucky that we were able to work on a franchise that got better with each movie, that got more successful with each movie, which I think is really rare, and I want to protect his legacy. So, I won’t make another one for the sake of making another one. It will have to be worth the while of the character.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has an array of movies and TV shows lined up for the coming years, ensuring a ton of content. However, the question of whether Tom Holland will continue to be a part of these projects can’t be answered just yet.
