Both Tom Cruise and Chris Hemsworth are widely popular stars in Hollywood. While one of popular for portraying the field agent in the Mission Impossible franchise, the other is known for playing the almighty god in the MCU. Hemsworth has been receiving praise for his work in the sequel to his 2020 Netflix feature Extraction.
And Cruise is also all set to make his comeback as Ethan Hunt in the upcoming Mission Impossible movie. However, before the release of one of the final movies in the franchise, he joined his co-stars to roast the Thor actor.
Tom Cruise Roasts Chris Hemsworth With the Mission Impossible Cast
Like many Hollywood actors, Chris Hemsworth, who is a huge fan of Tom Cruise, has wished to work with him in the future. While it is uncertain if the two action stars would ever share the screen, Cruise took an opportunity to roast the Thor actor in a 2020 AGBO Superhero League trash talk video.
Starring Pom Klementieff, known for portraying Mantis in the MCU, the video disses her Marvel co-star in an adaptation of Laisse Tomber Les Filles with French lyrics. The video features Klementieff mocking Hemsworth’s looks, personality, and even his Marvel character, claiming that her team is better than his.
“One thing I’m certain of, and I’m sorry to break your heart, but my team is better than yours,” she sings, dissing the actor and his superhero team in the MCU. Simon Pegg co-wrote the lyrics of the song with the Guardians of the Galaxy actress and directed the short video.
Klementieff was joined by her Mission Impossible co-stars, including Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, and Simon Pegg, as she concluded the diss track. The video was made under AGBO Superhero League’s weekly trash talk series to promote the charity fantasy football league.
Chris Hemsworth Dreams of Working With Tom Cruise
Chris Hemsworth, who is known for portraying the God of Thunder in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has shared that the one actor he wishes to work with is Tom Cruise. He has said that The Mummy actor is one of his favorite actors and would be honored to star alongside the actor.
“He’s one of my favorite actors. As a young kid watching him, and even right now, displaying what a movie star is in all its glory is pretty impressive, and to work with him would be an honor.”
He shared how he grew up watching his movies, and it would be a fantastic opportunity for him to work with Cruise in the future. He also expressed his love for the actor in an Instagram post as he praised the actor’s work in the 2022 film Top Gun: Maverick. While there are no such plans yet, it would be a treat for Hemsworth and Cruise’s fans to see them together on-screen.
