Hokages are the most important pillar of Konoga, as they’re responsible for the prosperity and growth of the village. It has already been a long time since Lionsgate announced the live-action adaptation of Naruto in 2015. We might be closing in towards the release of this live-action, yet remains something important. The cast of any live-action influences whether people will like it. Because of this, studios are always under immense pressure from the audience to present them with actors who can nail the role of the characters and show the audience what they want to see.
With Hokages being such a crucial aspect of the story, Lionsgate can’t mess up the cast. Even though there are more than 100 characters in the series, and it spans over 700 episodes now, our concern is the Hokage. Here is a list of actors who would be able to nail their roles and delight the fans with their performances.

First Hokage – Keanu Reeves
Hashirama Senju was one of the founders of Konoha and was known to be the strongest shinobi to ever exist in the Naruto universe, earning him the title of “God of Shinobis”. He was the first Hokage of Konoha, and the feats of his strength were immaculate. For such a strong character, Keanu Reeves would do justice as he is already known for his role as an assassin, John Wick. Since people are already used to this Canadian actor playing the role of such a strong character, it wouldn’t be out of place if Lionsgate decided to cast him as the strongest Shinobi ever.
Second Hokage – Sam Claffin
Tobirama, along with Hashirama Senju, were the founders of the Konohagakure. He was very inclined towards the political stability of the village as he would work effortlessly to maintain the relations and connections of the village. Sam Calffin or Samuel George Claflin would be an ideal pick to play the role of our second Hokage. This British actor is a graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in 2009 and since then has been acting. His first role was in the somewhat popular franchise Pirates of the Caribbean. He played the role of Philip Swift in Stranger of Tides.

Third Hokage – Viggo Mortenson
Hiruzen, the Third Hokage, was a man of wisdom and experience. He was very powerful in his peak time and also the master of the “Shinigami Sealing Jutsu”. Not only was he a mighty shinobi, but he was a great leader, too. To play his role, Viggo Mortenson would be perfect. He is known to play the role of a wise old man in several of his works. Viggo Mortenson is quite a famous actor, so if he were included in the Naruto live-action cast, it would attract public interest in this anime series.
Fourth Hokage – Sebastian Stan
Minato Namikaze was the Fourth Hokage of Konoha. One of the most prominent things that made him loved among the fans was that he didn’t belong to a strong clan or any other clan with Kekkei Genkai, such as the Uchiha. Yet he was one of the most feared Ninja during the Ninja War. He was renowned all over the world as Konoha’s Yellow Flash. None other than Sebastian Stan would be the perfect fit for his role. This Romanian–American actor is already famous for his character in the massive cinematic universe of Marvel. It wouldn’t be surprising to see this actor lend his talent to this live-action by playing the role of the fourth Hokage.
Fifth Hokage – Katheryn Winnick
Tsunade belongs to one of the most powerful clans in the series, the Senju. She was introduced to the audience as the “Legendary Sannin” at the beginning of Naruto. Later on, her role as the strongest kunoichi and medical-nin made her suitable to be the fifth Hokage. To play her role, Katheryn Winnick would be ideal. She has a similar aesthetic to the character, so ideally, this Canadian actress would be the right pick. She is known for starring in the television series Vikings, Wu Assassins, Big Sky, and her recurring role on Bones.
Sixth Hokage – Johnny Yong Bosch
Kakashi has been the mentor of Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura forever. It was a nice moment when he became the sixth Hokage of Konoha. He has been one of the dam favorites due to his nickname, “Copy Ninja Kakashi”. Johnny Yong Bosch has already been in the cast of Naruto, voicing Sasori of the Akatsuki. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he were revealed as the cast of the live-action playing the role of the seventh hokage.
Seventh Hokage – Jacob Hopkins
Our beloved Seventh Hokage can be loud and obnoxious from time to time, but he has matured a lot through the story. Being a dad of two, Naruto has become more reserved and responsible. Jacob Hopkins would be the correct pick for playing the role of Naruto in the live-action. He has played another endearing character, Gumball in The Amazing World of Gumball.
Eighth Hokage – Ryan Potter
Shikamaru is one of the coolest characters in the Naruto series. By cool, his composure and demeanor are described. He is rather intelligent but lazy enough to only use his powers when necessary. Being a martial artist and known for his roles in Titans and Big Hero 6, Ryan Potter would be a great pick to play Shikamaru, who is the eighth Hokage at the moment.
