The Naruto franchise is full of deadly jutsu that can take the life of the enemy if done correctly. But there are also a handful of jutsu that are deadly to both the user and the receiver. Throughout the 700 episodes of Naruto, we have seen several techniques. But few are as strong as Hashirama Senju’s Wood release.
The deadly jutsu can take the user’s life and is powerful enough to take down Kage-level shinobi with ease. If Madara did not have the Six Path’s powers, he would have died against Might Guy’s Inner Eight Gates. Let us see the most deadly jutsu that can take a heavy toll on the user or even kill them.
10. Tandem Paper Bombs
Tandem Paper Bombs were created by the second Hokage, Tobirama Senju. This Jutsu lets the user create an infinite number of explosive tags with their body as a medium. When these explosive tags come in contact with the enemy, there is an explosion. New explosive tags are born from each explosion. Tandem Paper Bombs take a heavy toll on the user and can even result in the user’s death.
During the Fourth Great Ninja War in Naruto Shippuden, Tobirama used this technique against Ten-Tails Obito. Since he was reincarnated, he did not suffer any fatal injuries.
9. Mangekyo Sharingan
The Sharingan is an ocular Kekkei Genkai technique that is passed down only in the Uchiha Clan. The only catch is that it develops when the users suffer due to loss. The advanced version of the Sharingan is the Mangekyo Sharingan. The Mangekyo Sharingan lets the user use several powerful techniques like Susano’o, Amaterasu, powerful Genjutsu, etc. The Mankegyo Sharingan takes a heavy toll on the body.
Constant usage can result in death. The only remedy is to transplant a Mangekyo Sharingan from a blood relative. It will create the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.
8. Reincarnation Jutsu
The Reincarnation Jutsu allows the user to transfer their soul to another person. It is a suicide jutsu. This was used by Granny Chiyo to save Gaara’s life after the tail beast was extracted from him by the Akatsuki. It is a dangerous jutsu since it will take away the user’s life.
7. CO
CO is the ultimate explosion jutsu of Deidara. It uses up the user’s life force and creates an explosion with a range of 10 km. The explosion is so powerful that it can instantly demolish any living being. Deidara used this technique against Sasuke Uchiha. Sasuke somehow used the Reverse Summoning Jutsu and got away in time.
6. Eight Inner Gates
The Eight Inner Gates can only be performed by the most elite taijutsu users in Naruto. Opening each Gate allows the user to break their chakra limit. They gain immense power, speed, and agility. But depending on the Gate, the user suffers tremendous fatigue and pain after it becomes normal. Opening the last gate, the Eighth Gate, will result in the user’s death since it takes the life force of the user. Might Guy used this against Madara Uchiha.
5. Reaper Death Seal
The Reaper Death Seal is a jutsu that is passed down in the Uzumaki Clan. It is believed that Kushina Uzumaki taught this jutsu to Minato Namikaze. The Reaper Death Seal seals anything that the user wants at the cost of his life. Minato used the technique to seal half of Kurama inside himself and half inside Naruto. It is a one-time jutsu.
4. Izanagi
Izanagi is a jutsu that allows the user to turn illusions into reality. This Jutsu, only performed by the Uchiha clan, is a forbidden jutsu. It takes away the eyesight of the user for the fulfillment of the jutsu. It was due to Izanagi that the Uchiha Clan almost perished since they were fighting among themselves.
3. Izanami
Izanami is a jutsu that takes the same toll on the user as Izanami. It is a jutsu to counter Izanagi. This Jutsu is also forbidden and was developed to stop the Uchihas from slaughtering themselves. Izanami allows the user to trap their enemy in an infinite loop. The enemy cannot escape it until they break it from the inside, set their path straight, and atone for their sins. This technique was used by Itachi Uchiha in Naruto Shippuden to defeat Kabuto.
2. Tengai Shinsei
Tengai Shinsei is an incredibly powerful jutsu, but using it can kill the user. This Jutsu can bring meteors from space to the Earth’s surface. Madara Uchiha used this technique with the help of Rinnegan’s embedded Susano’o during the Fourth Great Ninja War. It took out thousands of shinobi in seconds.
Madara Uchiha was also crushed. But since he was a reincarnation, he got reformed. If the user knows Flying Raijin, then he or she can teleport to a safer place than getting crushed under the meteors.
1. Rinne Tensei
Rinne Tensei is not an offensive jutsu, yet it can kill the user. Rinne Tensei summons the King of Hell, who releases all the souls of the people who have died. It restores the lives of the dead, but in turn, it takes the lives of the user. During Pain’s assault on the Leaf Village in Naruto Shippuden, Nagato used this jutsu to release all the souls that Pain had killed during the assault. But in return, he turned pale, with his hair turning white. After having a few last words with Naruto and Konan, he died.
