Avatar: The Last Airbender is a cartoon show that aired on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008. It’s about a 12-year-old boy named Aang. He’s the last airbender and the Avatar, a person who’s able to master all the elements; air, water, earth, and fire. Aang’s mission is to stop the Fire Nation’s reign on the other nations and bring world peace. While the show was successful enough to spawn a sequel series called The Legend of Korra, following the next Avatar’s adventures after Aang, it was only when Avatar: The Last Airbender came to Netflix in May 2020 where it became popular once again. Those who missed it when it originally aired could now watch for themselves and understand what made Avatar: The Last Airbender so good.
