As Marvel Studios explores street-level stories, the Disney Plus series Echo has elevated the hype among fans. Also, this would be a break from the flashy and ecstatic superpowers embroiling mainline MCU stories, saving the studio from superhero fatigue.
Almost every MCU fan would agree that Vincent D’Onofrio is returning to the scene to play Kingpin is perhaps the most exciting part of the series to build the hype. As the show is set to hit Disney Plus, the studio has released a new promo with commentary from the show’s director and D’Onofrio himself.
Marvel Dropped New Promo For Echo
Following the Echo promo drops, there should not be any doubts that Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin would be the master of the show— the father figure to Alaqua Cox’s Maya, the protagonist conflicting around his villainous traits to follow. The recent promo drop further reflected insights into the MCU villain. “Kingpin plays a huge role in this series. And with Vincent on board, he just raises the stakes,” Director and Executive Producer, Sydney Freeland said.
Of course, Wilson Fisk a.k.a. Kingpin is brutal, best best thing the MCU did when they recast D’Onofrio for the role continuing from Netflix’s Daredevil. Echo will dive further into the brutality of the character. “In this story, Kingpin is a brutal, brutal character,” D’Onofrio admitted.
Remarkably, “So much of Vincent’s performance was unscripted,” Freeland said of the actor, ensnaring into the role. Of course, he knows the character to the bone.
Fans Reacted to The Recent Echo Promo
The Legendary Kingpin and the father-daughter dynamics in the crime world would be the basic premise of the Disney Plus series. “One of the great things that we get to explore is this father-daughter dynamic with Maya,” Freeland said. “This story is just so interesting, and I can’t look away,” she added. For fans, it will be super exciting to see Kingpin in action and conflict throughout the show.

I love his new scar! He feels like a proper survivor now, especially after what happened at the end of season 3 of Daredevil!

I’m loving the upgrade in his new level of strength cause there’s literally a quick scene near the end where Fisk is getting ready to tear down a plane.. god I need this show so bad. pic.twitter.com/Gf1nacSpPX
