With Jonathan Majors facing turmoil and chaos in his Hollywood career, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is hoping to stabilize itself a bit. Having new ideas and new villains, several rumors abound on the internet as to who the new big baddie is.
Although a recast is rumored to replace Jonathan Majors in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, the villain for Avengers: Secret Wars is rumored to be an all-powerful entity. Having the ability to destroy Doctor Doom, this new villain is from the Beyond.
This Villain Can Beat Doctor Doom in Avengers: Secret Wars
With reports of the recasting of Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror in the MCU, it seems that there have been some changes in Avengers: Secret Wars. With the movie signaling the end of Phase 6 of the MCU, it seems that big things are about to go down in the Multiverse.
Having a plethora of characters to its name, the MCU is wondering which villains to discard and which villains to keep. A recent rumor on X (formerly Twiter) suggests that the MCU could introduce the Beyonder as the main villain in Avengers: Secret Wars. Being a variant of Kang in the MCU, the theory states that they could just bring the Beyonder to the forefront and sideline Jonathan Majors’ Kang out of the picture.

In this way, they could easily explain the absence of Majors’ Kang from the MCU and have the Beyonder serving as the villain. In the comics, Doctor Doom and the Beyonder had a constant battle of wit and free will which resulted in the Beyonder emerging victorious. Having the power to defeat Doctor Doom surely counts as an iconic feat for a villain!
John Boyega Doesn’t Want To Replace Jonathan Majors As Kang!
John Boyega is an actor known for several iconic movies such as They Cloned Tyrone, The Woman King, and, Pacific Rim Uprising. After Majors’ fiasco at the MCU, the actor was rumored to replace Majors as Kang the Conqueror. In a tweet, John Boyega rejected the rumor with a GIF. Fans think that this might be somewhat related to Boyega’s statements to Men’s Health.
“That’s not in the vision for me now. I want to do nuanced things… I want to donate my services to original indie films that come with new, fresh ideas, because I know it’s real hard to top Iron Man in that universe.”
With the recast of Jonathan Majors as Kang, it seems that the MCU does know what it is doing. As the theories and rumors continue to grow, the world can simply wait and watch as to what Kevin Feige and Marvel Comics can come up with.
