Recently, a Superman concept art has made its way to social media and this has convinced fans it was made by none other than Datrinti. What’s interesting about that particular concept art is the fact that James Gunn emphasized that his story would center around optimism, hope, kindness, and the ideals of “Truth, Justice, and the American Way.”

He introduced a new ‘S’ symbol inspired by the Kingdom Come comics, known for portraying a dark and nightmarish future. Sneider’s theory suggests that Gunn might incorporate the Kingdom Come logo for aesthetic purposes, separating it from the dark narrative of that storyline.

This perspective speculates that Gunn’s plans for the project may have deeper and more nuanced roots than initially perceived. Therefore, if it comes true, then fans can look forward to a new era of DC in general.

James Gunn, while announcing the commencement of filming on his Instagram, shared a photo of the Superman insignia on Corenswet’s costume for the film. In the same post, Gunn disclosed that the movie would be titled simply Superman, opting to drop the previously associated Legacy subtitle.

In the caption of his post, James Gunn explained the decision to change the film’s title. He revealed that the initial draft was titled Superman: Legacy, but as he finalized the script, it became evident to the Guardians of the Galaxy filmmaker that simply SUPERMAN was a more fitting and appropriate title for the movie.

The project was officially announced in December 2022, with James Gunn writing the script focusing on a younger Superman. In January 2023, Gunn was confirmed as the director, and the movie was formally titled Superman: Legacy. However, in late February 2024, the subtitle was dropped, and the film adopted a simpler title.
