Though it did take a while for the teaser to be released, Thor: Love and Thunder gained a lot of momentum in its trailer premiere. In the first 24hrs, the teaser became the 4th most viewed trailer debuting at 209 million. Thor: Love and Thunder Synopsis
Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late. After months of speculation, Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher has finally made his first appearance. As the first trailer didn’t reveal MCU’s newest antagonist, fans were eager to see Christian Bale making his return to a comic-book role after nearly a decade. While the MCU version of Gorr looks quite different from the terrifying comic-book counterpart, Bale is expected to bring some major acting chops to Thor: Love and Thunder, making him a character to remember for years to come.
