Pocket-sized monsters went big when Dynamax and Gigantamax were introduced with Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield in Generation VIII. Pokemon GO is said to be getting the feature too. The details were leaked on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) and presented in the form of a detailed article.

As of now, the leakers believe the features are disguised under the codenames Bread (Dynamax) and Gigantamax (BreadDough). The augmented reality game took the gaming industry by storm when it arrived in 2016 and has added several updates since. Some were good, some were bad, but all in all, they are keeping the players busy catching Pokemons wherever they go.

Maybe Niantic is Going Too Fast For The Upcoming Update

Pokemon GO fans haven't been happy with the past few updates.

It will be interesting if Pokemons featured in the game go larger than life, though it’s hard to imagine how such sizes will be depicted on a small screen. But if that’s true, maybe Niantic has worked its way around. Hopefully, it won’t be as bad as the update they implemented in April this year that made Pokemon Go fans furious.

In a detailed breakdown of a datamine by The Pokemod Group, it explains what they found could mean the entry of the gargantuan feature in the game.

The group is almost certain that the term they found during their research, Bread, is an indication of Dynamax, while the other term, BreadDough, refers to Gigantamax. The features allow Pokemon to grow huge in size, and while any monster can be a Dynamax, only a few can go Gigantamax.

One of the fans named Retro John 86 wasn’t very happy with the leak and said, “Niantic Have Lost The Plot“.

Since Niantic laid off its 25% workforce in last year, players haven’t been very happy with the company.

This Pokemon GO Update Needs to do Something Praiseworthy

Niantic cut a quarter of its workforce last year.

The article also discusses other things coming in the game, like Stations. It could be a new Point of Interest hosting Dynamax or Gigantamax raids. Players may need to go the extra mile to interact with them. Maybe Niantic is turning Pokestops/Gyms into Stations or there might be new structures being added to Pokemon GO.

It’s not just the recent updates that fans didn’t show much love, they are driven mad by some existing features too. Eggs are among the pivotal elements of the game, but players don’t really like the 7-km eggs. They take up so much space that other useful items are often left out.

If the datamines information is anything to go by, Niantic better be bringing something players can appreciate. With that said, giant battles will be a sight to behold on a small screen.
