Since the inception of the augmented reality (AR) game Pokémon Go, everyone who is playing it has become an Ash Ketchum in their lives. Though a variety of creatures are caught, kept, and summoned using a Pokéball, Pokémon Eggs have a pivotal role to play in the universe. Introduced in the second generation, they have covered a long journey.
In AR games, players have the option to nab eggs from PokéStops and Gyms that can hatch into new in-game creatures. And there’s a variety of these resources, like 2-km eggs, 5-km eggs, 12-km eggs, and more. While all of them hold a creature in them, players are not happy with a particular type of egg, a 7-km one.
There Are Too Many Eggs in Pokémon Go
Although most of them can be obtained by spinning photo disks at PokéStops and Gyms, 7-km eggs are gifts received from friends. Who doesn’t like gifts? The more, the better. However, too many gifts are blocking the door for other items to be added to players’ inventory in the game.
Players have started urging the company to allow them to delete the eggs. A Reddit user called sw4ffles wrote on a subreddit, “I really don’t want any more Meowths, and I never get to spin eggs from PokeStops because my darn egg inventory is constantly filled from opening gifts.”
Many users supported the statement, indicating sw4ffles isn’t the only one complaining about them. User whyisthisnsfw2 said, “It would be nice to be able to delete eggs you don’t want.” Another user called Fuzzy_Logics writes, “Give us the option to delete any eggs, or more preferably update the god damn egg pool.”
Mobile Games Are Getting Heavier
Mobile gaming has evolved to a whole new level. And this level will get a new level when Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile releases. Nevertheless, the evolution comes with a cost. Mobile games are getting larger when it comes to storage. One Pokémon Go subreddit member, namely PickyNipples, writes that,
We can delete Pokémon if our storage is full, we can delete items if our storage is full. Why can’t we delete eggs when we are full? I hear the argument “so they can sell more incubators” but if that was the case, why allow you to trash items when they sell extra storage? It just seems odd.
In the case of Pokémon Go, storage isn’t that big of an issue, as it takes up to 4 GB of space on a smartphone. Call of Duty: Mobile is nearly 20 GB now.
