John Wick star Keanu Reeves once appeared in The Graham Norton Show with Dornan where the stars discussed the erotic scenes in the movie with the host Graham Norton. The conversation was funny and Dornan revealed a few behind the scene moments in the show.
Keanu Reeves Discussed Fifty Shades S*x Scenes With Jamie Dornan
The show swiftly moved toward discussing the intense romance movie franchise Fifty Shades. Jamie Dornan recalled a few behind the scene instances that prompted Keanu Reeves to ask a few questions. Dornan appeared on the show for the promotion of Fifty Shades Darker. When Graham Norton opined about the title of the movie saying, “Fifty Shades Darker but actually this isn’t darker it’s more romantic I would say” the actor went deeper into the film. “Yeah, I think that’s probably true. Yes, but there’s probably more s*x in it,” Dornan said. “I make noises,” he added speaking of s*xual noises in an American accent.
“I have actually a question though,” Keanu Reeves jumped into the conversation asking, “Do they let you do that?” Adding further, the John Wick star said, “I mean like when your, does the director say, more vocalization? Do they say less?”
Further, Reeves went ahead with a more acute impression of his vocalization, swiftly shouting, “It’s like, ‘Aaaaahhhhh!’” and asked if the makers are like “‘No. That’s not good.’” Norton later jumped in contradicting Reeves with a funny note, “No one comes like that.”
It seemed that Reeves enjoyed every bit of the conversation about the wildly intense erotic movie as he subsumed into the talk immersing in body language and expression.
Jamie Dornan Shared Fifty Shades Behind the Scenes
Dornan revealed how he was tempted to make his co-star Dakota Johnson laugh. The actor said that he even made funny sounds for that when there are music playing around the s*x scenes.
“There’s some scenes where they will, they, music maybe a bit of if it’s a wide shot and it’s not like, so, it’s the closest we get the sort of kind of, sort of just sort of going for it in one piece and they’ll play music or something. And my temptation is always just to try to make Dakota laugh. So, sometimes I’ll do things like when there’s a moment where I meant to you know orgasm, I’d be like ‘to-do-t-to-do.”
While the first installment of the romantic franchise was directed by a woman director, Sam Taylor-Johnson, the sequels were directed by James Foley. When Norton asked the actor about the change in the scenario in the second installment of the series with a male director onboard, the actor said that there was not much of a difference.
“No not really to be honest. I mean, I think whoever is tasked with directing those kind of scenes, I mean you know, these guys know it. The s*x scenes are awkward anyway.”
The show has revealed a lot about the explosively popular erotic franchise, the actor himself enjoyed the “baby boom” popularity after the first movie of the series.
Dornan is set to appear in Tom Harper-directed Netflix film, Heart of Stone alongside Gal Gadot, Alia Bhatt, and Army of Thieves actor Matthias Schweighöfer. Heart of Stone is scheduled for release on 11 August 2023.
