The Iron Man star wanted to keep running her 2008-founded Goop lifestyle business for the time being. As CEO of Goop, she claimed to enjoy 

“Creating, collaborating, being struck with new ideas, innovating, thinking ahead, strategy, vision, that kind of thing.”

A Possible Robert Downey Jr.’s Return as Iron Man?

Fans agree that the Avengers will not be the same without Robert Downey Jr.‘s beloved Iron Man after his heartbreaking conclusion of Avengers: Endgame. Despite Tony Stark’s heroic and fitting exit from the MCU, fans can not help but harbor some optimism.

Downey Jr. may have given rise to that hope with his appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, a podcast hosted by Joe Rogan. The host speculated on the actor’s potential return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist” Tony Stark.

When the actor, 58, was questioned whether or not he would ever reprise his role as Iron Man after Avengers: Endgame, he responded as follows:

“To me, starting up again is off the table. I feel like I’ve done all I could with that character.”

Downey Jr. also added that for his Iron Man to appear again, there must be a very strong case that connects all the dots:

“There would have to be a super compelling argument and a series of events that made it obvious. But the other thing is, I wanna do other stuff.”
