Meanwhile, one of Captain’s archenemies is Hydra, a shady organization that wants nothing but supremacy and destruction of established world orders.
In the intricate world of conspiracy theories in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a new one has emerged on a Reddit forum, which claims Hydra brought back Captain America aka Steve Rogers to use him as a facade for all the dirty work they want to do for no organized crime can exist without law and order.
Reddit Theory Claims Hydra Brought Back Captain America
The fictional events of worlds like the Marvel Cinematic Universe often spark conspiracy theories and narratives. A new theory on a Reddit forum is quickly catching the attention of numerous Marvel enthusiasts, which lists a surprising possible relationship between the reappearance of Captain America (Steve Rogers) and Hydra, a sinister organization that was supposed to have ended at the end of World War II, the same time Rogers disappeared.
During a discussion about probable Marvel theories, a user on Reddit wrote,
“They really expect us to believe Steve Rogers was frozen in a block of ice for sixty years? Where was he really, and what’s he been doing? Funny how the second he shows up again, there’s all these alien invasions and killer robots and such. What an odd coincidence.”
While another added,
“So Hydra was around in the 40s as was cap, when he disappeared so did Hydra. Then as soon as they unfreeze him Hydra comes back, now I’m not saying there isn’t a connection but I’m not saying there isn’t either.”
This theory offers a compelling perspective of the mythos, and unlike others, seems to hold some groups for it does offer a very interesting argument.
Reddit Conspiracy Theory: Truth Or False?
While often conspiracy theories are outrageous, this theory does seem to hold some truth. The timing of the disappearance of Captain America and Hydra seems too suspicious, as if Hydra wanted the world to believe that it had completely disappeared. Furthermore, why did it take SHIELD almost 60 years to search and find Captain America and the Tesseract?
And just as Captain America made an appearance events like the alien invasion happened, which also leads to the question of Hydra’s possible involvement in Loki stealing the tesseract. Since SHIELD had the world’s top technology, all things and events could have been well coordinated and managed, away from the watchful eyes of the Avengers and the world.
All these events further give impetus to the theory that Hydra could have brought Steve Rogers back as a symbol of hope and kept the world engaged while they carried out their dirty work under SHIELD. However, it is important to note that these theories are just theories within the larger framework of the fictional world of Marvel.
