However, as per a recent revelation of the most streamed songs on the platform, neither Swift nor Cyrus managed to make it through the 3 Billion-Dollar Club on Spotify. In fact, none of our favorite female artists have managed to achieve 3 billion streams and all the six songs that have are from male artists.

Female artists like Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and Nicki Minaj are some of the most followed and revered artists of all time across the world. Among the most followed artists on numerous platforms, including streaming platforms like Spotify, they have carved their own space in the whole landscape of the music industry.

As per the 2023 Wrapped list of Spotify, Swift was also named the Artist of the Year while Cyrus’s Flowers became the top song of the past year. Swift furthermore made over more than $100 million from Spotify streams alone in the last year (via Rolling Stone).

Despite such achievements, including momentous Grammy wins this year, neither Swift nor Cyrus made it to the most streamed song list of the platform with more than 3 billion streams. As per the current streaming record, only six songs made it to the list and all of them are from male artists (via X). And here is the list:

  1. The Weeknd‘s Blinding Lights with 4.049 billion+ streams
  2. Ed Sheeran‘s Shape of You with 3.774 billion+ streams
  3. Lewis Capaldi’s Someone You Loved with 3.198 billion+ streams
  4. Post Malone and Swae Lee’s Sunflower with 3.145 billion+ streams
  5. The Weeknd and Daft Punk’s Starboy with 3.014 billion+ streams
  6. Harry Styles‘s As It Was with 3.002 billion+ streams

As for artists like Swift, with 102,676,604+ monthly listeners, her most streamed song Cruel Summer only has about 1,698,356,010 streams so far. Well, Swifties need to ace up their game ASAP!
