Swift also won a gramophone for best pop vocal album. She expressed her delight at the triumph before announcing the arrival of her 11th studio album, titled The Tortured Poets Department.

“I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years,” she said (via BBC). “Which is that my brand new album comes out April 19. It’s called The Tortured Poets Department.”

Soon after, Swift posted the cover art on her social media accounts. On X, the post has so far managed more than half a million reposts. The Grammys platform and the timing of the announcement certainly paid great dividends.

However, that also left many wondering what she would’ve done about the announcement had the Grammys jury picked another album for the night’s biggest prize.

As per BBC, a listing on her official website suggests the new album will contain 16 tracks. Some editions also include a bonus track, titled The Manuscript.

After the Tokyo leg of her phenomenal tour, Swift is expected to return to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce. The tight end plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, who are taking on the San Francisco 49ers on 11 February at Allegiant Stadium.
